Well, we are about half way through this fireworks season. As some of you may know, this year in MC morning prayer we have been going through the elements of discipleship, or, the things that make up a disciple. During this fireworks season, the element is patience. Its funny really, this is the time of the year wear patience starts to run out. We are almost at the end of the MC year and people are starting to get anncy. So every morning someone different comes and gives a short devotion about the element. Every single one of them have been really good.
In this season it is easy to loose sight of what you are here for and what you are doing. For some, they are just looking for things to be over. For others, they are looking ahead to next year. Still, there are those that remain focused on what God is doing here and now. The thing about MC is that it is a ten month program, not a 9.5 month program. God has called us here for 10 months, meaning that we have given him all ten months to do what ever it is he wants to do with us. The problem is that when we loose focus and are not patient with God then we loose track of what it is we are really doing. We know that God still has things that he is trying to teach us and that there will always be something we need to learn, but if we are not patient with God and let him do what he wants to do on his time then we may miss it all together. ![]() This concept does not just apply to us here in MC. Maybe some of you out there are also doing fireworks and want to just be done or maybe you are going to work everyday and always dwelling on when you are going to get off. When we do that and are not patient, we miss opportunities that God puts in front of us. God can and will use you at any time he sees fit, are you going to be ready when that time comes or are you going to be impatient with things and miss out on the awesome opportunity that God has put in front of you. Well, as you all may have noticed, things have gotten a little crazy. The sad things is that we have not been able to keep up with the blog and for that we appologize. The reason things have gotten crazy as you may know is that we have entered in to our fireworks season. Fireworks is a huge fundraiser for our church and we are glad to be a part of it. It is however time consuming. So, we will do our very best to keep you up to date. Hopefully things will calm down soon and before you know it, it will be graduation. So, the year is wrapping up and things are a little crazy but, God is still God and we are still moving foward in what he has for us. Be praying for us as we go through this season and we will do our best to keep you up to date.

Wednesday, June 3, 2009The Calm Before The Storm- 6/3/2009![]() It is so crazy that this year is almost over and it will be time to say goodbye to those who will not be coming back. It will also be time to say that we will see you next year. But, before any of that can take place, we have to go through a time that is both trying on our phyisical being as well as our spiritual being. We are about to enter the season known as Fireworks. This is an awesome opportunity for our church to raise come much needed funds. The biggest thing for us as Masters Commision is that we have to set the tone and do the things that need to be done. We, also have to be willing to do those things with a good attitude. The only way to do that is by staying in the word and taking God with us to do it. You see, the only way to be able to go and do things, and be able to make them fun and enjoyable is by having the joy of the Lord. Today, Pastor Chris changed the element of discileship to Perserveriance. This is not just one of those things that you tell people they have to do because the bible said so. This is something you have to do because it is the only way that you can make it through hard times. We know that if we are going to get through this season that perserveriance is deffinetly going to be our element of disciplship for this time. Be praying for us and if you are in the area, come and get your fireworks at Fireworks Factory Outlet for the best price and best product. Monday, June 1, 2009In The Silence- 6/1/2009![]() So its June, wow, time flys. God has been so good and so faithful to us this year. The other day, Pastor Danny was talking to David and Casey about some stuff that God was taking him through and we want to share that with you all. Pastor Danny, has found a spot where he can go and meet with God. In one of those times where he was meeting with God, he was reading his bible and was stuck in kings. When God tells Elijah to go out of the cave and then it talks about the voice of the Lord not coming in Fire, Wind, or any of that, but, it says that Gods voice came to Elijah in a whisper. The footnotes of Pastor Danny's bible say that it also means in silence. It is incredible that God sent him out of the cave to hear his voice in silence. So many times we feel that we have to push and push and push to get something from God. We think that it takes us going and finding God instead of taking the time to be still and listen to him. God took Elijah from his quite cave out into the world and then he spoke to him in silence. It is time us as Christians to stop being consumed with our own problems or our own drama and take the time to spend it with God. Don't let a moment pass you bye without thinking if God is trying to show you something through it. We have a God who can SPEAK in SILENCE, don't you think it is time we start LISTENING.
