On staff now

It is truly incredible how time goes by without you really even noticing it. It really seems like just a little while ago I was getting ready to start my first year at Crossfire Masters Commission, moving away from home for the first time, about to follow through with the craziest idea I'd ever set my mind on. But it wasn't just a little while ago. I just graduated my third year of Masters Commission and, still wondering how sane the idea is, am becoming a part of the staff.

I had a meeting this morning with the rest of the staff (it's weird saying it that way) and we just spent some time casting vision for next year and discussing some ideas. I have to tell you I am really exited for what this year is going to bring. Though I'm still sad to see one year end, there is something incredible about the opportunity to pour into more lives and to continue moving your ministry forward. I'm excited to be able to teach classes to the students this year (something that I've always wanted to do), and to further develop the elements of discipleship that we started using this last year. But there is more to my excitement than what God is doing in our program and what He is going to do in our students. I'm also excited for the growth God is going to bring about in me.

I'm looking forward to the day that God puts me in the place to start another Masters Commission. I'm also looking forward to being involved in all the different aspects of our ministry this year, learning all the ins and outs of what makes the Masters Commission year happen. I know that I'll continue to learn and grow until the day I die, whether I'm about to become a first year student or I'm a new staff member, that is something that I've learned over the last three years and it's something that I hope I will be able to instill in all my students for the coming year and the years to follow.
