Helping Out The USBAMay 30, 2008 Today we went out to the United States Basketball Academy and helped them tear out a bunch of carpet and pain a house. We helped them because they are really nice to us and let us use the facility for our winter camp so we like to help them out when we can. Friday, May 30, 2008More Firework fun
May 29, 2008
Today was another day of firework prep. We were able to organize one of the semis that we use for storage. Now I know that doesn't seem like much to most people but to use it saves us a lot of work to do it later by doing it this early. It is always nice to feel accomplished about something we have done. Wednesday, May 28, 2008Another Amazing Youth ServiceMay 28, 2008 God never ceases to amaze us! Every single week, God shows up and tears things up. Tonight really really was amazing. God came in worship and began to just grab a hold of people. A lot of people got prayer during worship this week and that was really cool. Pastor G also spoke an amazing message about memorials and what we are not doing in the physical as well as our relationship with God. I know that God was speaking to kids before they ever even came up for the altar call. It was an amazing service. Monday, May 26, 2008So Much Excitement
May 21-25, 2008
It is so amazing when you can just feel the excitement for something build as it is happening. It started out in Crossfire Youth Church and it continued all the way to Our Sunday morning service. I couldn't believe the things that God has been doing but they are so amazing. God moved like crazy in both the services and touched each of with just the feeling of excitement. We filled the weekend with some practice for a surprise that we will reveal at this years graduation ceremony. It is going to be a service that you wont forget. So amazing. We also had the privilege of attending two of our former students wedding this past Saturday. Cameron Alexander and Erin Tucker became Mr. and Mrs. Cameron Alexander. It was an amazing wedding and we were all really happy that we got to see two of our alumni starting there life together. Saturday, May 24, 2008Crossfire MC Weekly Podcast- Almost All Dressed UIpDownload this episode (34 min) Pastor Chris, Pastor Danny and Casey talk about whats happening with Crossfire MC, Listner Feedback, Shameless Plugs and the Song of the week How Sweet the Name by Delirious Tuesday, May 20, 2008The In-Between
Crossfire Masters Commission will be graduating the class of 2008. I want to first invite everyone to the graduation service. It will be Sunday July 13th at 6:00pm. At
Crossfire World Outreach Ministries 942 28th St. Springfield, OR 97477 It's funny because as a staff, we are at a very strange point. It seems to find us every year. Graduation is coming so we are in preparation and excited to see the students continue their calling beyond Masters. At the same time as a staff we are also looking forward to next year’s class of world changers, and the excitement that comes with a new group of people, problems and situations. It's almost like were at a point of "in-between". This is funny to me because as Crossfire MC we look for people who are trapped at the great "in-between" of the American Church. Let me explain: I was talk to a pastor friend of mine the other day about the huge gap between youth ministry and adulthood for Christian young people. Statistically more people fall away from their relationship with God between the ages of 18 and 24. I don’t think this is because of the great pressures of life at this age. The opportunity to sin is a lot more. Students get out of their parents home and begin to make decisions on their own and often make poor choices. But it is easy to blame the world, I think we need to take an inside look and ask if we are doing all we can to keep these people engaged in serving God. I remember when I graduated from High School feeling a little wired about still being in Youth Church and still feeling to young to be in “adult” church. At Masters Commission we love this place because of the opportunity to see God take these types of people to the next level. My friend told me he sometimes does not have the patience of teaching students the confidence of living beyond youth. For me High school graduation was not too long ago and I remember the awkwardness of what to do next. Luckily God called me to learn confidence at the school I am now proud to work for. Maybe you are at the point of “In-Between” or you know a student who is their, let me suggest Crossfire Masters Commission, we will do our best to teach you or your students how to be a contributing member of your congregation, they will also learn who they are in God and how to accomplish everything he has called them to. Monday, May 19, 2008Back HomeMay 17-19, 2008 There are not many times where you can go to two homes in the matter of two days. The guys of Crossfire MC, did however, have that opportunity this last weekend. We had the privilege to go down to Sacramento CA to visit our good friend "Crazy Uncle Mike." It was so amazing. Saturday we walked into their church building and said we are home. That night, Danny was going to speak a message that God had given him, but little did he know that God also had other things in store for him. During the service, things exploded and God moved. People got healed and lives were changed by the miraculous power of God. We were there for so long just in Gods presence. It was amazing! It is always a sad thing to leave your home, but, it had to be done. We came back to our other home just in time for God to show up at our churches worship and praise night. Like I said "there is nothing like having two homes." Sunday, May 18, 2008Crossfire MC Weekly Podcast- Sac Town

May 15, 2008
Today we started our first day of prepping for fireworks. It was a lot of fun setting stuff up and getting it ready. We also had the chance to practice a drama that we are going to do this Sunday night at our church's praise service. Those nights are so cool. Tomorrow is Michelle's birthday, so, we all decided to go see the new Narnia movie at midnight. It was really good and we had a fun time with Michelle on her birthday. Who Am I?
May 14, 2008
Well it is Wednesday again. We really like Wednesdays around here. It is when we get the chance to pur into kids lives. This week Pastor G and his wife Elisha could not make it, so you can be praying for them. However, Pastor Jon Fargher was asked to speak in his place. Jon always brings it and this week it was no different. He spoke about who we think we are, who the world thinks we are and who God thinks we are. Everyone got a card that said who am I? At the end of the service, Jon told everyone what God knew that they were and said that if you are not going to aske yourself that question anymore, then you need to rip up the card. Everyone was able to rip up the card by the end of the night. Praise God, we know who we are. Do You? Monday, May 12, 2008God's Power in Michelle's Life
Life is crazy. You know? Well... here is my latest story..
As a Masters Commission, we had a special meeting... [it has a special name but I can't spell it, so ..sorry..] ... it was a very intense meeting. We have had these a few more times and God always shows up in a strong way and does crazy stuff. Well for a month or possibly even more before this meeting, I had been struggling spiritually and physically and I just kept pushing God away. I have always struggled with accepting God's grace and forgivness and even when I repent of stuff I hold it against myself for a long time after. So that is why I kept pushing God away. So at this meeting there was a sign on the door that said not to come in unless you were ready for your life to be changed. I was more than ready. I was desperate for God to do something in me, I just didn't see how God could. I am just too human and screwed up. But all I knew was that I was willing to do whatever it took to get God to give me some spiritual break through. Well, the meeting went and then came to what we thought was a close, some people left, and... I felt the same. I didn't feel changed. I felt like I had a good time with God but.. it ended there. And I did not come for just a good time with God. I wasn't the only one feeling that way so we decided to pray some more. But I felt like I couldn't get any further. So everyone began praying for me. Danny asked me if I wanted whatever was keeping me back to go away, so of course, I said yes. He then asked if I believed it would happen tonight and I kept saying no because I knew it was me holding myself back because I wasn't accepting grace. But everyone kept praying. Then... randomly, David said that the Lord told him to tell me that I needed to use the restroom and God would take my pain away. I was so confused but I went. I ran to the bathroom. As I was washing my hands, I couldn't take them out of the water. I started to sob. God told me, 'Your hands are clean. Go and sin no more and you are healed.' Well, since then I have had none of the problems I was having. I couldn't eat without feeling terribly sick before. Now.. I eat and I feel fine! Milk doesn't affect my body in a negative way like it used to. Nothing does. My body is compeletly healed! Praise God! Friday, May 9, 2008I Am Legend
May 4-7, 2008
Well well well. Another Crossfire family day came and went. Might I also ad that it was so amazing and way better then any other family day that we have ever had. We want to send out a big thank you to our Hispanic church members who made tacos for everyone. They were so good and we really appreciated it. I know that every kid that was there had a great time in the jump houses as well as playing with the mini golf. It was fun for the big kids too (that means the old people). We are all very excited for the next one to role around. Now, talk about one of the best youth services we have ever had. Well then you would talk about the one we just had. May 7, "I Am Legend" was amazing. This was a special evangelistic service to help the kids reach out to all their friends and lead them to Christ. We had so many poeple come to this special service including a lot of new people, the adults came over from their service, and even the kids church kids came to check it out. The adults thought it was a little loud. Masters was able to portray the lost ending to the movie I Am Legend, it was awesome and way better to the real ending. We also did a drama with the drama team about leaving a legacy. God moved and kids got saved for the first time, it was awesome. After the altar call, we had pizza and soda to give to everyone that came. It was such an amazing night and we are hoping to do something like it again. Saturday, May 3, 2008We Will Never Be The SameMay 2, 2008 The staff of Crossfire MC decided it was time for a change. They decided that we were going to take a step forward in our relationship with God. We had a corem deo which means face to face with God. It is a special service we have in Masters to get face to face with God and build our relationship with him. During the corem deo, we had a really good time of worship. After we watched some of the revival that is going on in Florida. After that Chris and Kori had to go but we knew that God was not done. Danny began to speak about all the people that we knew were praying for us and this moment and we knew that God was not done. We started to really press in and then breakthrough happened. God started pouring his spirit out on all of us. Crystal fell to the ground slain in the spirit and Danny as well. God gave each student a word except Jachin and Michelle. So we prayed for them and Jachin had a huge breakthrough. He was able to let go of some of his past and know that he doesn't have to live that way anymore. Michelle knew that she had something that was holding her back and after that was out of the way we prayed for healing in her body. If you would like to hear the whole story of how she was healed then you can read her blog on the student blog page. God did so many amazing things. We know that after that moment, we would never be the same.
