We Are Sorry!!!

Photobucket

April 29th, 2008

Hello faithful blodience. We would like to appologize for our recent lack of posts. We would also like to let you know that we will once again be posting them on a regular basis. Now I realize that we have not put up a post since April 9, so naturally there is a lot of things to tell all of you.

First off, this last month we were able to do a lot of cool things with the youth group here at crossfire. On April 11th, we had a guys night at the church. We had all the guys from our youth group and some new people come out and we got to play all kinds of video games with them and had pizza. The best part was that we got to set up a basketball court in the sanctuary and we played basketball until 4 in the morning.

The following weekend, April 18th, we had all the girls in our youth group for a girls night. They played all kinds of games had a bunch of food and got to share some stuff about one another. There big extravaganza was a giant game of clue in the sanctuary. The girls had so much fun and we got to meat a lot of new girls too.

Thursday, April 24th, Our senior pastor, Aaron Taylor, had a healthy baby boy born to him on that day. His name is Maverick Danger Taylor. The Danger is not a joke. He is really healthy and at home with his new family. They are all so overjoyed. Aaron's wife is Kristy Taylor who happens to be Chris's wife Kori's sister.

This last Saturday, April 26th, we had the opportunity to drive down to our state capital with a bunch of people from the church and go to the supreme court building and put red tape over our mouths with the word life on it. The point was that we were praying and protesting against abortion. It was an event that went on all across the nation. The ministry that started is called mercy seat. The event was called bound 4 life. The reason for the red tape is because we were showing people what it would look like for those babies who don't even have a voice yet but what they would be saying if they had one. It was amazing to be able to take a stand against abortion in our country.

Sunday, April 27th, Chris was blessed with the chance to speak at our Sunday morning service because Aaron was not sure if he would be there because of the baby. But Chris brought our church an awesome message about be more eternally-minded. That night David, second year, was invited to come and share a little devotional at one of our alumni churches. Cameron Alexander, graduate of 06, is the youth pastor at Cresswell church of the Nazerine. David got to go and hang out with the kids and share with them a devotional.

Service In Roseburg

April 2-8, 2008

The students started our spring term of school on Tuesday and had the opportunity to meet some of the nicest teachers they have ever had. They are taking Critical Thinking and Corinthians. All of the students are really excited for these classes.

On Thursday we had the opportunity to go down to Roseburg for a service at on of our former students church. Jason Humphry is now the youth pastor at River of Life in Roseburg OR. We had the privilege to go down there and do a service with them. It was so fun and really amazing to see Jason in a position of leadership in ministry.

It was a really good week for us. The service on Sunday morning was really good. Pastor Aaron spoke a really really good message about complacency and we all went out to papas pizza afterwards for our pizza fellowship Sunday.

The Little Town Of Pomeroy WA

March 28-31, 2008

We went straight from Kennewick to the little town of Pomeroy WA. It is a small town with a population of only 1517 people. It was beautiful nonetheless. On the way into town, we were talking to Casey and we told him that since it was such a small town that he better know everyone there. He said it would probably be like "Oh, thats Michelle Fitzgerald's mom," just around the corner after he said that we drove past two people and we asked him who are they. He said "Thats Jesse, and thats Michelle Fitzgerald." We all got a laugh out of it.

As soon as we got into town we knew that it was going to be fun. We drove up to Casey's house which happens to be right across the street from the church that we were going to go to. We got to see all of Casey's family and talk to all of them about the trip so far and what has been going on. We had a great time of fellowship with them.

The next day we got to go take a tour of the town. Casey's Dad, Andrew took us on the nickel tour, people said we paid to much. He showed us the Soggie Bottom, which is their coffee shop slash hang out spot. Meyers's Hardware/ ice cream store/ gift shop. Also the Radio shack/ pharmacy. We went to the Pomeroy Foods groceries store which was the only groceries store in town and had only recently got electric doors. We also went to the "Flour Mill," it was originally a flour mill but now it is turned into a restaurant and a church. We drove a half hour to Lewiston WA where we ate dinner at an amazing pizza joint called Antonios. We hit the wal mart before heading back to Pomeroy and home.

Sunday morning, we had the amazing opportunity to go and minister at Casey's home church. One of eight churches in town. The Pomeroy Assembly of God. They had an amazing congregation and we were so blessed to be able to minister to them. Before the service we had the privilege of helping with their children's Sunday school. Danny was also able to preach a dynamic message to their congregation about being the light in the darkness. It was so amazing and God did so many amazing things.

The last day was a sad one for all of us but we were very happy in knowing that we would be coming back soon with the whole team so that all of them can experience everything Pomeroy has to offer.
