Our First Service On The Road

Photobucket

January 30, 2008

Day 3 started off just like the rest, with prayer. After prayer we got to go do our INSTE classes and do a lot of our school work. We then continued to get ready for what God was going to do in our firsts night service. We did a lot of drama practice and even had David prepare a short word to give during the service. We also had Steven prepare a testimony of how he ended up coming to masters.

People started showing up at about 6:30. We were able to reconnect with some of the people that we had meet on our previous trips, as well as some new people. Pastor Mike and Dottie, his wife, showed up and were just excited for the service.

We did some worship in the beginning. We were able to do some dramas and skits for them. David, and Chris both spoke a message. But one thing that was really exciting was, that Steven was able to share his testimony. Afterwards, we found out that there was a man in the front row, his name was Fred, that was deaf in one ear. He called Steven out after the service. Steven was feeling embarrassed and like he messed up everything he said. But Fred was able to tell Steven that when he spoke, his ear was opened and he could here. Fred gave Steven a pen and told him to always remember this time. Through Steven God was able to heal someone through the words that he spoke.

It was a really good service and we were all impressed with what God did. After the service, we had a time of fellowship just to get caught up with each other. Brittany was able to connect with some of the young girls that were here at the service. We ate some pizza and said goodbye. We were all in a really good mood because of what God had done.
